Cool and timely article from Chris Lake on econsultancy. Even though it’s about how large organizations use social media, here are some of my favorite tips that the various companies offer:

• Don’t pick fights, and be the first to correct your own mistakes (IBM).
• It’s a conversation. Talk to your readers as you would talk to anyone in a professional setting. (Intel).

It never ceases to amaze me how many new tech tools are shared throughout Personal Learning Networks (PLN). We had another great day via Twitter for #web20wednesday - and I'm excited to share! So, let's jump into it.

I met Catalina and Michelle at our Tweet Up during FETC and had a great conversation about their “Beyond the Classroom Walls” presentation. So much so that I had to attend their session and had to talk with them further about it the next day. Take a quick minute to watch them briefly chat about their presentation.

Ok, if the title of this blog post doesn’t excite you, I’m not sure what will! Steve Dembo had an awesome presentation this year at FETC. His presentation was pretty entertaining, I have to say.

Cindy Lane and Lee Kolbert held a very informative and fun session at FETC called The Biggest User! In this session, Cindy and Lee took web 2.0 tools that are used in the classroom to explain them further, and to vote on which one will be provided in their “Biggest User” wiki.

Well, I have to say day 1 of the FETC conference was a blast! It was great to finally get down there, attend some sessions, meet some awesome people, and find some great resources. The first session we attended was the Brown Bag Shootout – where three speakers (Leslie Fisher, John Kuglin, and Hall Davidson) all spilled their favorite edtech resources – exactly what I like to hear!

There has been a lot of talk about having a tweet up for the FETC and for those of you interested, we’ve set one up! We are so excited about FETC and to meet all of you, so please join us! Here are the details of the tweet up:
