Tech tools, holiday activities, and more!

I think most of us have heard about sites like GoAnimate for creating cartoons, however, sometimes you may just want the old school comic strip! @Bwasson has given us a few great sites for this, Make Beliefs Comix and Toonlet.

Another great comic strip site was brought to us by @aaallian. This one is definitely different from the ones @Bwasson gave us – it uses actual PHOTOS instead of cartoon characters! How cool is that? I should make one when I get back from my Virginia trip this weekend! I hear the Edgar Cayce Museum is pretty awesome!

Besides the name of this next resource kind of creeping me out, it’s actually a pretty amazing site. Many Eyes is a place to share visual intelligence, to find patterns, and to discover!! They already have a TON of topics covered with complete visualization, so you don’t even have to create your own. Simply just browse (or even just click the “education” tag) and find your topic of interest – great for discussion and debates in the classroom! Check out Many Eyes here.

To re-emphasize on another great tool for an alternative to Photoshop (or another expensive photo editing program), @Bwasson’s reminded us of Aviary. Aviary is an easy way to create on the fly – photo editing templates, screen capture, and more. Check out Aviary here. And don’t forget another alternative, GIMP!
